NEW YORK (AP) -Leon Williams and Ken Van Kempen scored 14 points apiece and Ohio University held off St. Francis (N.Y.) 67-63 Sunday.
Bubba Walther added 13 points for the Bobcats (3-2), who led 33-25 at halftime.
Ricky Cadell made eight of nine shots from the floor and finished with 19 points for the Terriers (3-4). Robert Hines added 17.
St. Francis started the second half with a 16-4 run, capped by Cadell’s 3-pointer, to go up 41-37 with 14:31 left.
The Bobcats responded with a 15-6 rally, completing the surge on a 3-pointer by Williams to lead 52-47 with 8:55 remaining. Walter’s 3-pointer increased the lead to 61-53 with 4:11 to go.
The Terriers got within 66-63 on Hines’ 3-pointer with 36 seconds remaining.
