CINCINNATI (AP) -Xavier freshman guard Terrell Holloway has a stress fracture in his left foot and will be sidelined for at least two weeks.
Holloway has been playing a bigger role for Xavier (5-0) as he gets acclimated. He’s averaging 7.8 points and 21 minutes per game, and leads the Musketeers in free throws, going 27-for-28.
Holloway made several clutch free throws while Xavier swept its three games in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off, including a 63-58 win over Memphis. Dante Jackson, who spent some time at point guard last season, will assume the bulk of the minutes there while Holloway recovers.
