Lang connected on 5 of 10 shots from the floor, including 3 of 5 3-point attempts, to pace Stetson (2-2). Garfield Blair and Kris Thomas each had 11 points for the Hatters. Blair also had nine rebounds.
Stetson set a modern-day record for fewest points allowed, breaking the 38 points yielded to Wright State on Jan. 18, 1975.
Wales (3-5), an NAIA program in North Miami, Fla., was paced by Stephen Nosworthy, who had 15 points and eight rebounds.
Blair scored six points during an 11-0 run to put Stetson in command 13-3 with 13:58 left in the first half.
The Hatters led 29-19 at the half.
Lang’s three 3-pointers helped push the lead to 40-24 with 16:24 remaining in the game.
