MORAGA, Calif. (AP) – Patty Mills scored 16 points, Diamon Simpson had 13 points and seven rebounds and St. Mary’s overcame a shaky start to beat Vanguard, 86-54, on Sunday.
Ben Allen added 10 points and six rebounds for the Gaels (3-0), who trailed midway through the first half before storming back to get the easy win.
Gregory Scott had 15 points to pace Vanguard (1-4), an NAIA school from Southern California.
