LEXINGTON, Va. (AP) -Chavis Holmes led seven players in double figures for Virginia Military Institue in its 133-72 victory against Stevenson on Thursday night.
Holmes scored 21 points, and Austin Kenon and Michael Sparks had 18. Also for VMI, Travis Holmes scored 15 points, Keith Gabriel scored 14, Willie Bell had 12 and Wayne Whiting added 10.
VMI (3-1) scored 46 points off of turnovers, forcing Stevenson (0-2) to cough the ball up 32 times. Holmes led VMI with five steals, and Gabriel contributed four.
Greg Woody and Greg Collins led Stevenson with 12 and 10 points, respectively.
