WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) -Jeff Teague had a career-high 31 points Wednesday night to help No. 20 Wake Forest beat North Carolina-Wilmington 120-88.
James Johnson added 25 points for the Demon Deacons (2-0), who led almost the entire way in a game that featured plenty of transition buckets and quick shots for both teams. Wake Forest shot 57 percent and scored 41 points off 24 turnovers to improve to 11-0 all-time in the series.

McFarland, a 7-footer, finished with 19 points for Wake Forest. The Seahawks didn’t have a starter taller than 6-7.
