FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) -Shayar Lee scored 17 points on 6-of-7 shooting and Northern Arizona had six players score in double figures in its 95-63 win over NAIA Haskell Indian Nations University in Monday’s home opener.
Matt Johnson scored 14 points, while Zarko Comagic had 13 points and a team-best seven rebounds for the Lumberjacks (1-1).
Haskell’s Dan Brown had a game-high 21 points. Dominick Clichee finished with11 points and Jeffery Berridge went 4-for-4 from the field and finished with nine points.
Haskell (3-7) took a 10-8 lead with 16:26 left in the first half when Benjamin Carry Water scored on a driving layup in traffic.
Comagic answered on Northern Arizona’s next possession with a 3-pointer from the left wing, and the Lumberjacks went on an 18-3 run over the next 3:17.
Northern Arizona, which led 49-24 at halftime, shot 57.1 percent for the field and outrebounded Haskell 50-28.
