MARTIN, Tenn. (AP) - Lester Hudson scored 27 points and Marquis Weddle added 26 to lead Tennessee-Martin to an easy 121-56 win over Maryville of Missouri on Friday.
Hudson also had eight steals, seven rebounds and seven assists for the Skyhawks (1-0), who are now 16-1 in home openers since joining Division I in 1992. Benzor Simmons scored 16 points and M.J. Brown added 12.
Tennessee-Martin opened the game with a 21-2 run to help them claim a 59-20 advantage at halftime. The Skyhawks took a 50-point lead in the second half after outscoring the Saints (0-1) 12-2.
Kyle Winters was the only player for Maryville to score double figures with 15 points.
Tennessee-Martin shot 57 percent from the field and forced Maryville into 31 turnovers.
