HANOVER, N.H. (AP) – Malik Gill had 14 points in just 13 minutes of action as Dartmouth routed Division III Lyndon State 106-61 on Sunday in the season opener for both teams.
Gill was one of five Dartmouth players to reach double figures in scoring. Kevin Crescenzi and Connor Boehm each had 13 points, Tyler Melville had 11 and John Golden had 10 for Dartmouth (1-0).
The Big Green reached the 100-point mark for the eighth time in program history and the first since a 112-point performance against Keene State in 1999. Dartmouth never trailed and led by as much as 50 in the second half. The Big Green shot over 51 percent from the field and outrebounded Lyndon State 48-29.
Lyndon State (0-1) shot less than 35 percent from the field. David Johnson led Lyndon State with 14 points.
