WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) -JaJuan Johnson had 22 points, 14 rebounds and seven blocked shots for No. 11 Purdue in an 81-61 exhibition victory over Division II Northern State on Saturday night.
The Wolves led 12-8 early in the game but were held scoreless for the next 4 minutes, and Johnson scored seven points during a 12-0 spurt that put the Boilermakers in control midway through the first half.
Purdue led 35-24 at halftime and blew it open with a 17-3 run over the first 6 minutes of the second half. The Boilermakers took their biggest lead of 27 points late in the game.
Robbie Hummel added 12 points and seven rebounds and E’Twaun Moore finished with 11 points and five assists for Purdue.
Mitch Boeck scored 18 points and Robert Thomas had 10 for the Wolves.
