INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – The NCAA and Indiana University will have a tribute for the late NCAA president Myles Brand on Oct. 28 at Conseco Fieldhouse.
The event, which will begin at 6 p.m. local time, will include guest speakers, video tributes and artistic performances. Friends, family members and colleagues will be invited to attend. A limited number of seats also will be available to the general public.
Brand died from pancreatic cancer Sept. 16 at the age of 67.
Brand was Indiana’s president when he decided fire basketball coach Bob Knight.
