SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -Former Florida basketball player Teddy Dupay was bound over for trial on charges of rape, aggravated sexual assault and aggravated kidnapping.
Prosecutor Paul Christensen said Dupay, 29, pleaded not guilty to all three charges during a preliminary hearing Monday in 3rd District Court in Park City.
Court documents say on June 19, Park City police were called to a lodge where a 28-year-old woman told officers that Dupay raped her in one of the rooms. Before the rape, she said Dupay hit and kicked her 150 times. The two had been in a relationship for two years.
A trial has been scheduled for Jan. 6.
Dupay, whose legal name is Edward Raymond Dupay, played on the Gators’ runner-up national championship team in 2000.
