Virginia Commonwealth coach Anthony Grant flew into Tuscaloosa, Ala., for a second round of meetings with Alabama officials seeking a replacement for Mark Gottfried.
Grant and his wife, Christina, arrived in town at about 10 a.m. CST Wednesday for meetings with university officials and a campus tour, athletics spokesman Doug Walker said.
Grant also met with Alabama officials Sunday in Virginia, a person familiar with the meeting said, speaking on condition of anonymity because the talks were ongoing.
Grant declined comment to reporters Wednesday before leaving with athletic director Mal Moore and several trustees for meetings, including one with President Robert Witt.
The 42-year-old Grant has led VCU to two NCAA tournament appearances in the last three seasons.
