SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) – Nate Wolters scored 18 points and South Dakota State got hot from behind the 3-point line in the second half Monday to overcome a slow start and beat IPFW 72-56 in the semifinals of the Summit League tournament.
The Jackrabbits (24-9) shot 70 percent from behind the arc in the second half after sinking just 2 of 7 3-pointers in the first half.
Chad White added 17 points and Tony Fiegen contributed 16 points for South Dakota State.
Frank Gaines led IPFW (16-17) with 25 points.
The Mastodons opened up a 10-0 lead, and the Jackrabbits spent the rest of the first half trying to close the gap.
