LITTLE ROCK (AP) -Nolan Richardson says he’s no longer a candidate to become Arkansas State’s next basketball coach.
The former Arkansas coach said Tuesday the job wasn’t the right fit for him, and he and the school decided to go in other directions. Arkansas State is trying to replace Dickey Nutt, who resigned Feb. 19.
Richardson has been out of college coaching since being fired by Arkansas in 2002, but he’s coached on the international level since then.
