CORAOPOLIS, Pa. (AP) -Rob Robinson scored 17 points and hit key baskets in the closing minutes to lift Robert Morris to a 66-63 victory over Mount St. Mary’s on Saturday.
Bateko Francisco and Jimmy Langhurst each scored 11 points for Robert Morris (21-10, 15-3 Northeast Conference).
Shawn Atupem scored 14 points for Mount St. Mary’s (17-2, 12-6).
In a game that featured 16 ties and 15 lead changes, Mount St. Mary’s had a 34-31 edge at the half and scored six straight points to grab a 59-57 lead with just over five minutes remaining.
Robinson hit a free throw and then a jump shot to give Robert Morris a 62-61 lead with 2:40 left, then tipped in a missed shot to put the Colonials ahead again, 64-63, with 1:42 left. Free throws by Langhurst and Jeremy Chappell sealed the win.
