ATHENS, Ga. (AP) -Georgia freshman Travis Leslie will sit out the rest of the season to concentrate on academics.
Leslie will not participate in practices, the final three regular-season games or the Southeastern Conference tournament. He apologized to his teammates, coaches and Georgia fans in a statement released by the school on Friday.
Leslie had played in 26 of Georgia’s 28 games, scoring a season-high 23 points against Loyola-Chicago. He averaged 6.3 points this season.
