AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -Oklahoma forward Blake Griffin sustained a concussion and left the No. 2 Sooners’ game against Texas late in the first half after taking a blow to the face.
Griffin was hit by the Longhorns’ Dexter Pittman as the Oklahoma center turned and pivoted toward the basket for the shot. He went to the bench and had a piece of cotton stuck in his nose for the final minutes of the half and walked slowly off the court at the break while being attended to by an Oklahoma trainer.
Oklahoma spokesman Mike Houck said Griffin had a concussion and said his status to return was uncertain in the second half.
The Sooners trailed 34-29 at the half and Griffin had just two points and three rebounds.
