STONY BROOK, N.Y. (AP) -Chris Martin scored 20 points to lead Stony Brook to a 58-47 victory against Albany, N.Y., on Thursday night.
Muhammad El-Amin added 16 points for the Seawolves (14-11, 6-6- America East).
Tim Ambrose led the Great Danes (13-12, 6-7) with 14 points. Brett Gifford had 10 points for Albany, which has lost four straight.
Demetrius Young’s three-point play to close out the first half gave Stony Brook a 20-19 lead.
Albany had its last lead, 39-38, on a tip-in by Ambrose at 9:17 of the second half.
Martin’s 3-pointer put Stony Brook up 41-39 at 7:16 of the second half, and the Seawolves never trailed again.
