SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) -Eric Devendorf and Jonny Flynn both scored 22 points to lead No. 20 Syracuse over West Virginia 74-61 on Wednesday night to snap a three-game losing streak.
Syracuse (18-5, 6-4 Big East), which had lost four of five, avenged a 20-point loss at West Virginia (15-7, 4-5) last season.
Paul Harris had 14 points and 13 rebounds for Syracuse to snap out of a three-game funk in which he had just 23 points and 19 rebounds.
The Orange won despite subpar performances from guard Andy Rautins and center Arinze Onuaku. Rautins, who missed the previous game with a sprained ankle, did not score and Onuaku, who has knee tendinitis, had four points.
Da’Sean Butler had 18 of his 23 points in the second half to keep the Mountaineers within striking distance, while Alex Ruoff finished with 10 points.
