FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) -Jaraun Burrows hit 10-of-12 field goals and scored 30 points to lead IPFW past North Dakota State 82-63 on Saturday.
Burrows, who averages 13.9 points per game as the Mastodons’ leading scorer, also sank 9-of-12 free throws. Ben Botts added 14 points for IPFW (9-13, 6-5), and Demetrius Johnson had 10 points and 10 assists.
IPFW led for much of the first half before North Dakota State rallied to take a 29-28 lead into halftime. A Botts field goal 43 seconds into the second half gave the Mastodons the lead, and they kept it the rest of the game.
Ben Winkelman had 18 points and seven rebounds for North Dakota State (11-11, 5-6). Lucas Moormann scored 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds to help the Bison finish with a 38-28 rebounding edge.
But North Dakota State made only 37 percent of its field goals and 2-of-14 3-pointers. Mike Nelson, who averaged more than 19 points in his previous four games against IPFW, scored eight on 3-of-12 shooting Saturday.
