BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) -Will Bynum scored 24 points, including a pair of free throws to seal the win, as Montana State beat Portland State 85-82 Sunday.
Bynum sank his free throws with 5 seconds remaining to hold off a last minute rally by Portland State (15-7, 6-3 Big Sky). Erik Rush scored 13 points and Divaldo Mbunga scored 12 points and had eight rebounds for Montana State (11-9, 5-4).
Dominic Waters led Portland State with 19 points while Julius Thomas scored 17 and Phil Nelson added 12.
Portland State took a 41-40 lead early in the half, but the Bobcats responded with a 15-4 run to take control of the game.
