WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) -Andrey Semenov scored 23 of his 25 points in the second half and James Madison defeated North Carolina-Wilmington 79-73 on Saturday night.
James Madison (14-9, 6-5 Colonial Athletic Association) trailed 41-32 at halftime. The Dukes took their first lead of the game at 68-66 on a jump shot by Semenov with 3:49 left to play.
James Madison then hit all eight of its free throw attempts in the final 1:10 to seal the win.
Semenov, who made all eight of his second-half field goal attempts, and 7 of 12 in the game, led three Dukes in double figures. Devon Moore scored 14 points and Julius Wells added 10 for James Madison.
The Seahawks (5-18, 2-9) were led by Dominique Lacy’s 15 points. Kevon Moore added 13 points, Johnny Wolf tallied 12 and Chad Tomko scored 11.
