ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) -Will Harris scored 19 points, including four 3-pointers, and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the University at Albany to a 59-50 win over Hartford in America East action Wednesday night.
Tim Ambrose added 11 points and Anthony Raffa had 10 for the Great Danes (13-8, 5-3 America East), who split the season series with Hartford with the win.
Albany trailed 34-29 with 13:37 remaining before consecutive 3-point plays by reservists Mike Johnson and Jerel Hastings, part of a 19-5 scoring spurt that put the Great Danes comfortably ahead.
Hartford briefly tied it at 37-all midway through the second half on Michael Turner’s 3-point play, but never retook the lead. Turner had 14 points and Morgan Sabia added 13 for the Hawks (6-16, 2-6 AE).
Turner beat the buzzer with a 3-pointer and Hartford took a 26-25 lead into the halftime break.
