CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -Omar Carter had 19 points and 10 rebounds and Charleston Southern snapped a 10-game losing streak with a 95-73 win over Morris on Tuesday night.
The Buccaneers (6-13) won their first game since beating Covenant on Dec. 13, ending their longest skid since the 2006-07 season and a five-game losing streak at home.
Morris (7-7), an NAIA Division I team, lost for the first time in five games.
Charleston Southern led 36-24 at halftime and as many as 24 in the second half in the first meeting between the schools.
Austin Johnson added 17 points for the Buccaneers, Jamarco Warren scored 12 and JT Knight had 11 points, eight assists, four rebounds and four blocks.
Christopher Owens led Morris with 26 points, with Randall James scoring 15 and Nathaniel Thomas 14.
Charleston Southern outrebounded the Hornets 47-31 and had 51 bench points.
