INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Rotnei Clarke is back in Butler’s starting lineup Saturday night against Temple.
The 6-foot shooting guard is returning after missing the last two weeks with a severely sprained neck. Clarke was injured when he crashed head-first into a padded basket support at Dayton on Jan. 12. Butler (16-3, 3-1 Atlantic 10) went on to win that game and two more at home last week without Clarke before losing in the final seconds at La Salle on Wednesday, again without Clarke.
He was cleared to practice Thursday.
Clarke is one of the Atlantic 10’s top scorers and 3-point shooters. He’s averaging 16.3 points, shooting 44.4 percent from 3-point range, sixth in the league, and is seventh in the nation in 3s made per game (3.7).
