TULSA, Okla. (AP) Albert Owens was one of three Oral Roberts players to notch a double-double with 22 points and a career-high 13 rebounds, and the Golden Eagles beat Division III East Texas Baptist 93-66 on Tuesday night.
Emmanuel Nzekwesi added 12 points and 11 rebounds with three steals for Oral Roberts (8-15). Javan White and R.J. Fuqua each scored 11 and Jontray Harris had 10 points, a career-high 12 rebounds and five assists. Owens was 10 of 17 from the field and reached his second career double-double after just 25 minutes of playing time.
Oral Roberts only led ETBU 59-56 with 12:42 remaining before going on a 31-4 run over the next 11 minutes. ETBU was 9 of 19 from distance in the first half and 1 of 11 after halftime.
Darrice Whitley led East Texas Baptist with 15 points and six rebounds. Westin Riddick added 12 points.
