FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) -Arkansas freshman forward Brandon Moore was suspended indefinitely after an arrest early Sunday on charges of drunken driving and other offenses.
The 19-year-old from New Orleans was stopped by a campus police officer at 1:51 a.m. after she noticed Moore’s vehicle cross a double-yellow line to pass another vehicle, according to campus police records. The officer said Moore smelled of alcohol and told her he had been drinking.
According to a police report, Moore failed a field sobriety test and then tested 0.10 on a breath test at the jail. It is illegal in Arkansas to drive with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08.
Moore was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, failure to provide proof of insurance, failure to register a vehicle and unlawful use of dealer tags.
He posted $1,360 bond and was released from the Washington County jail, authorities said.
Coach John Pelphrey declined to comment but said Moore would remain on the team.
