FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) Point guard Jaylen Fisher could miss the rest of the season for No. 24 TCU after injuring his right knee. It is the second time in about six months he hurt a knee in practice.
Fisher is scheduled to have surgery Thursday, two days after the latest injury.
The sophomore guard tore the meniscus in his left knee when the team was preparing to go to Australia in August, a trip Fisher missed for surgery.
Fisher was ready for the start of the season, and played all 17 games until the No. 24 Horned Frogs were home Wednesday night against Iowa State. He was averaging 12.1 points and was fifth in the Big 12 with 5.4 assists per game. He had a career-high 22 points in an overtime loss Saturday at No. 4 Oklahoma.
