CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) -Point guard Quentin Thomas practiced Saturday with top-ranked North Carolina and is expected to be available for the team’s Atlantic Coast Conference opener Sunday against Clemson.
Thomas, a senior, has missed the last two games because of a sprained left ankle.
Sophomore forward Alex Stepheson will miss his second game in a row as he remains in California because of an illness in the family.
Tar Heels coach Roy Williams said he hopes Stepheson will return to Chapel Hill early next week.
