CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -Charlotte Bobcats starting shooting guard Raja Bell was ejected from a game against Chicago on Tuesday night for remarks made to referee Eli Roe.
It wasn’t immediately clear what Bell said during a break before a free throw attempt with 4:23 left in the first quarter. Roe came to the scorer’s table, made the technical foul signal and than emphatically whipped his arm to signal the ejection.
Bell was playing in his third game with Charlotte since being acquired from Phoenix in a trade last week. His ejection came as the Bobcats were already playing without top scorer Gerald Wallace, who has left the team to attend his father’s funeral.
