CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -Bobcats leading scorer Gerald Wallace has been cleared to play in Tuesday’s game at Miami after sitting out Charlotte’s loss to Boston with a strained right calf.
Wallace, averaging 18.7 points per game, practiced without limitations Monday and traveled with the team to Miami.
Wallace played 12 minutes in Friday’s loss to Orlando after being injured in the first half. An MRI Saturday showed no muscle tear, but Wallace was a late scratch from Charlotte’s 96-95 loss to Boston later that night after experiencing discomfort in pregame warmups.
The Bobcats are expected to be without backup center Ryan Hollins for another week. Hollins missed Saturday’s game with a left shoulder injury and was walking around in a sling Monday. He did not travel with the team to Miami.
