WASHINGTON (AP) -Andray Blatche had 20 points and eight rebounds and Nick Young added 15 points to lead the Washington Wizards to a 115-96 exhibition victory over Zalgaris Kaunas on Friday night.
The 21-year-old Blatche was 8-of-9 from the field and converted all four of his free throws.
Playing before a crowd of several thousand, most of whom were passionately cheering for the longtime Lithuanian Basketball League power, Washington (4-1) broke an 18-18 tie when it scored 17 consecutive points to end the first quarter and start the second.
Blatche, who leads the Wizards in scoring during the preseason, scored seven points during the run. Caron Butler, who played just 17 minutes and scored 14 points, also had seven in the streak. Washington led by as many as 20 points in the second half.
Brendan Haywood scored 13 points and Darius Songalia, a native of Lithuania, had eight for Washington.
Zalgiris Kaunas, which features three Americans, lost all three games this week in its North American tour. They also lost to Golden State and Toronto.
DeJuan Collins, one of the three Americans, had 26 points – including nine straight late in the fourth quarter when the Wizards had a large lead – eight assists and seven rebounds.
Washington was without Gilbert Arenas and Antawn Jamison. Arenas, who had surgery on his left knee in April decided to rest, and Jamison, who slightly turned his left ankle in Chicago on Tuesday, was held out as a precaution by coach Eddie Jordan.
