CLEVELAND (AP) -Cleveland Cavaliers center Zydrunas Ilgauskas returned to the starting lineup Sunday against Charlotte after missing seven games with an inflamed disk in his lower back.
Ilgauskas, in his 10th season, is averaging 13.5 points and 9.6 rebounds. The Cavaliers were 4-3 in his absence.
Ilgauskas participated in a full practice Saturday for the first time since being sidelined. His rehabilitation consisted of rest, work in the swimming pool and stretching exercises.
Cleveland coach Mike Brown has been given no indication by the team’s medical and training staff that Ilgauskas will be limited in playing time.
“Nobody has said anything that we have to monitor his minutes or save him for the playoffs,” Brown said.
