YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) -Vytas Sulskis had 26 points and 7 rebounds to lead Youngstown State over Illinois-Chicago 80-68 on Thursday night.
John Barber added 24 points for the Penguins (5-7), who trailed early in the first half but went ahead for good with 15:11 remaining on a 3-pointer by Mikko Niemi. The Penguins have won two in a row.
Karl White Jr. scored 21 points for the Flames (8-6), who shot only 38.8 percent from the field and now have a two-game losing streak. Illinois-Chicago also committed 17 turnovers, which the Penguins were able to convert into 20 points.
Youngstown State shot 50 percent from the field, including 41.2 percent (7-of-17) from behind the 3-point line.
