Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Timberwolves are 4.5-point favorites to beat the Bulls. The total, meanwhile, sits at 211 points and as of this writing, 63% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Timberwolves to cover the point spread.
Minnesota Timberwolves Fantasy Spin
Derrick Rose (left ankle) practiced with the Wolves on Monday. Rose was unable to finish Friday's game due to ankle soreness and was ruled out of Sunday's contest vs. the Thunder. Being able to practice is certainly a step in the right direction. Minnesota's next game is Wednesday, and we should have an update on his status by Tuesday evening. With Jeff Teague (ankle) also sidelined, Tyus Jones started on Sunday and tallied five points, five rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes.
Chicago Bulls Fantasy Spin
Zach LaVine (left ankle) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game vs. Minnesota. This is surprising, as last Wednesday it was reported that LaVine would miss 2-4 weeks of action. Two weeks from that (Dec. 13) would be December 28th. However, it seems LaVine is progressing ahead of schedule and has a chance to return sooner than expected. Even if he is ruled out for Wednesday, it's a good sign that he's inching closer. We should have an update on LaVine's status after Wednesday morning's shootaround.
