Bucks keep rolling
Milwaukee is coming off a 117-89 win at home over Indiana on Sunday for a third straight victory and cover. The Bucks have won 21 of their last 22 games. Milwaukee is 27-4 on the season, 12-2 on the road 18-13 against the spread and 15-15-1 against the spread.
The Bucks are one of the top offensive teams in the league, averaging 120.6 points per game while shooting 48.2 percent as a team. Defensively, Milwaukee is allowing 107.1 points per game while holding opponents to 41.4 percent shooting. Giannis Antetokounmpo is an MVP candidate once again. He is averaging 31 points, 12.9 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game this season. Khris Middleton is adding 18 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists per contest.
Philly trying to get back on track
After a three-game losing streak last week, the 76ers have won their last two over the Wizards and Pistons. Philly is now 22-10 on the season, 15-2 at home, 14-15-3 against the spread and 16-15-1 with the over.
The 76ers are putting up 109.8 points per game on offense this season while shooting 47.6 percent as a team. Defensively, Philadelphia is allowing 104.9 points per game while holding opponents to 45.6 percent shooting. Joel Embiid is leading the team with 23 points, 12.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game this year. Tobias Harris is adding 19.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.
NBA Betting Trends
Milwaukee
The Bucks are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven games as a favorite and 5-1 ATS in their last six games following a win.
Philadelphia
The 76ers are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games as an underdog and 4-1 ATS in their last five games as a home underdog.
Prediction:
These two haven’t met this season, but despite the back-to-back wins for Philly, there are reasons to be concerned about the 76ers. They were exposed lately by some zone defenses that forced Philly into being an outside-shooting team, and the 76ers couldn’t succeed that way. Milwaukee is a team that has the length to play that style as well and give Philly troubles scoring. The Bucks are sure to score behind their depth and athleticism, so if the 76ers can’t find their shooting, it’s going to be tough for them to stay within reach of the Bucks. Wins over the Pistons and Wizards don’t tell me that Philly is back on track.
NBA Prediction: Milwaukee Bucks -3
