Bulls trying to heat up

Chicago has won two straight and three of its last four, covering in four straight. The Bulls are coming off a 119-107 win at Detroit on Saturday night. Chicago is 12-19 on the season, 6-9 on the road, 17-14 against the spread and 16-15 with the under.

The Bulls are putting up just 106.1 points per game this season while shooting only 43.2 percent from the field. Defensively, the Bulls are allowing 107.4 points per game while opponents shoot 45.1 percent against them. Zach LaVine is leading Chicago with 23.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists per contest. Lauri Markkanen is adding 14.8 points and 6.9 rebounds per contest.

Magic return home

Orlando returns home from a four-game road trip where the Magic went 1-3 and 1-2-1 against the spread. They are coming off a 118-103 loss at Portland on Friday. The Magic are 12-17 on the season, 8-6 at home, 11-16-2 against the spread and 15-13-1 with the over.

The Magic are scoring just 103.5 points per game this season while shooting only 43.1 percent from the field. Defensively, Orlando is holding opponents to 105.3 points per game while opponents shoot 45.8 percent from the floor. Evan Fournier has been leading the team this year with 19.6 points and 3.2 assists per game. Nikola Vucevic is adding 17.4 points, 11.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists per contest.

NBA Betting Trends

Chicago

The Bulls have covered the spread in six straight road games and in seven straight games as an underdog.

Orlando

The Magic are just 1-4-1 against the spread in their last six games overall, but 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games playing on 2 days of rest.

Prediction:

These two have yet to cross paths this season. The road team won the last two meetings last season. The Bulls are playing pretty well right now and seem to have some things figured out with their young roster. They have covered in seven of their last eight. Orlando is returning from a West Coast road trip and finally has Vucevic back in the mix. They really haven’t had an easy schedule over the last few weeks, but I think returning home will help that. The Magic aren’t as bad as their recent numbers and I think their defense at home will be a problem for a Chicago team that hasn’t been consistent at scoring. I like Orlando at home, finally facing a team that it can beat with defense.

NBA Prediction: Orlando Magic -4.5
