Warriors vs. Pistons Prediction
Will the Golden State Warriors have any trouble going on the road to face the Detroit Pistons tonight at 7:30PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Warriors are favored on the road, as they are getting odds of -7 points against the Pistons. The over/under total for the game is listed at 211.5 points. Detroit actually won the last meeting with Golden State last season, 113-95 in Detroit. The Pistons have covered in two of their last three meetings with the Warriors.

The Warriors are rolling along, now sitting at 26-4 on the season thanks to a six-game winning streak. Golden State has now covered the spread in three straight to move to 14-15-1 against the spread this year. The Warriors have the league’s top offense, which is no surprise. They average 117.4 points per game while the defense is giving up 103.8 per game. Kevin Durant is putting up 25.7 points per game to lead the team while Stephen Curry is at 24.4 points per game and Klay Thompson is averaging 21.4 points per game. Draymond Green is averaging 10.6 points, 8.8 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game as he returns to his home state of Michigan tonight.
The Pistons are in a real nose dive right now, losing and failing to cover in four straight games. They have lost all four by at least 12 points. Detroit has been struggling offensively, averaging just 98.0 points per game. The defense is giving up only 97.5 points per game for the season, but they have allowed an average of 109.5 points over these last four games. Tobias Harris is averaging 15.6 points per game to lead Detroit while Andre Drummond is averaging 14 points and 13.6 rebounds per game. Reggie Jackson is dealing with a knee injury, but is probable to play. He is averaging 13.9 points and 4.8 assists per game.

Detroit showed a better defensive effort in the loss to Memphis, but the Pistons didn’t have the offense to really compete. Even if they continue to play well on defense, they won’t have the horses to compete with the Warriors. After a somewhat sluggish start, Golden State has really started to click and show why many expect them to win the West once again. I like the Warriors to overwhelm the Pistons tonight.
