Bucks staying near top of East
The Milwaukee Bucks are coming off a 114-102 win at Cleveland on Friday for their third win in four games. Milwaukee is 19-9 on the season, 6-6 on the road, 15-12-1 against the spread and 15-12 with the over.
The Bucks have the NBA’s top offense this season, averaging 118.0 points per game. They also lead the NBA in rebounding with 50.4 per contest. The defense is allowing 109 points per game while opponents shoot a league-low, 43.7 percent, from the field. Giannis Antetokounmpo is leading the squad with 26.6 points, 13.2 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game. Khris Middleton is adding 17.4 points and 5.9 rebounds per contest.
Pistons end skid
The Detroit Pistons ended a six-game losing streak on Saturday with a 113-104 win over the Celtics at home. They have managed to cover in their last two games. The Pistons are 14-13 overall, 10-6 at home, 14-13 against the spread and 14-13 with the under.
The Pistons have been struggling on offense this season. They average 109.1 points per game but shoot just 43.5 percent from the field and 32.2 percent from the arc. Defensively, the Pistons are giving up 110 points per game. Blake Griffin is averaging 25.7 points, 9.1 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game this season to lead the team. Andre Drummond is adding 18.3 points and 15.6 rebounds per game.
NBA Betting Trends
Milwaukee
The Bucks are 5-12 against the spread in their last 17 road games and 1-5 ATS in their last six games following a win.
Detroit
The Pistons are 1-5 ATS in their last six games playing on one day of rest, but 5-2 ATS in their last seven games following a win.
Prediction:
The Pistons were able to snap out of their funk this weekend as the team got Reggie Bullock back from injury. His ability to shoot the 3 helped get them out of their offensive woes. I think he can continue to shoot the ball well and help the Pistons pick up a needed win over the Bucks to get back on track of trying to contend for the playoffs. Milwaukee may be better than Detroit on paper, but the Bucks haven’t been a great road team.
NBA Prediction: Detroit Pistons +3.5
