According to the latest oddsmakers, Milwaukee is the big favorite at home, as the Bucks are getting odds of -11 points against the Mavericks. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 227 points. The public betting currently has 66 percent going on Milwaukee as the home favorite. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our NBA Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

Mavs without Doncic

Dallas is coming off a 122-118 OT loss at home to Miami on Saturday, but even bigger is that the Mavs lost Luka Doncic for a few weeks to an ankle injury. The Mavericks are 17-8 on the season, 9-2 on the road, 15-10 against the spread and 17-8 with the over.

The Mavericks are putting up 118.1 points per game this year while shooting 46.6 percent from the field and 36.3 percent from the arc. Defensively, Dallas is allowing 109 points per game while holding opponents to 44.6 percent shooting. Doncic has been an MVP-type candidate this season, averaging 29.3 points, 9.6 rebounds and 8.9 assists per game. Kristaps Porzingis is now the active team leader with 16.8 points and 8.9 rebounds per contest.

Bucks won’t lose

Milwaukee is coming off a 125-108 win at home over Cleveland on Saturday for an 18th straight victory. The Bucks have covered the spread in seven of their last eight games as well. Milwaukee is 24-3 on the year, 13-1 at home, 15-12 against the spread and 14-12-1 with the over.

The Bucks are putting up 121.2 points per game this year to be one of the top offenses in the league. They shoot 48.7 percent from the field and 36.2 percent from the arc. Defensively, Milwaukee is giving up 107.6 points per game while holding opponents to just 41.3 percent shooting. The Bucks are led by Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is averaging 31 points, 12. 8 rebounds and 5.3 assists per contest. Khris Middleton is adding 18.6 points and 5.4 rebounds per contest.

NBA Betting Trends

Dallas

The Mavericks are 7-1 against the spread in their last eight games following a loss and 7-1-1 ATS in their last nine games as a road underdog.

Milwaukee

The Bucks have covered the spread in five straight when on 1 day of rest and in five of their last six home games.

Prediction:

These two haven’t met this season and it’s too bad we couldn’t see Doncic vs. Giannis tonight. Both men have taken over games like no others in the NBA this season. Without Doncic, the Mavericks are losing about 40-45 points worth of offensive production. We saw the struggles Dallas had without him last year and now they are on the road against the league’s best team. Milwaukee is going to push the pace and make sure it can score at a rate that Dallas won’t have an answer for. I think the Mavs are going to get overwhelmed as they try to figure out life without Luke for a few weeks.

NBA Prediction: Milwaukee Bucks -11
