Hawks vs. Mavericks Prediction
The Dallas Mavericks have been fantastic at the betting window this season, especially at home. That said, they’re laying 9 points tonight to the visiting Atlanta Hawks. Will the Mavs cash again when these two teams tip off at 8:30 p.m. ET?

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Mavericks are 9-point favorites to beat the Hawks. The total, meanwhile, sits at 223 points and as of this writing, 63% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Mavericks to cover the point spread.
Atlanta Hawks Fantasy Spin
Jeremy Lin (low back strain) was able to do individual work on Monday but his status for Wednesday's game vs. Dallas is uncertain. Lin injured his back last Wednesday and did not play Saturday vs. Denver. The fact that he was able to get some work in on Monday is a sign that the injury isn't overly serious. We'll find out on Tuesday afternoon if Lin travels with the team to Dallas for Wednesday's contest. If he is ruled out, DeAndre Bembry would again see extended minutes. Bembry scored a career-high 18 points on Saturday.
Dallas Mavericks Fantasy Spin
Dirk Nowitzki (left ankle surgery) is being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Hawks. This is the first time this season that Nowitzki is being hit with the questionable tag, and it was reported last week that he was targeting a return on this current homestand, so maybe he'll be able to make his season debut tomorrow night. He's likely going to be brought along slowly, and generally speaking, we wouldn't expect much from him in his age-40 season; so this is a wait-and-see situation in most settings.
NBA Betting Trends
The Hawks are 9-1 against the spread in their last 10 games versus the Mavericks and a perfect 4-0 at the betting window in their last four games played in Dallas.
The Mavericks are 5-2 against the number in their last seven games when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game.
Despite Atlanta’s outstanding ATS success versus Dallas in previous meetings between these two teams, the Mavs have been too good at the betting window this season to fade them tonight. They’re 4-1 against the number in their last five games overall, are 20-7 against the spread in their last 27 home games and a perfect 5-0 ATS in their last five games versus Eastern Conference foes. The Hawks, meanwhile, are 1-4 against the spread in their last five games overall and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games when facing an opponent with a winning record.
