Raptors vs. Clippers Pick
Are the Toronto Raptors going to ease past the host Los Angeles Clippers tonight at 10:30PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Raptors are a 5.5-point favorite on the spread line. The over-under is set at 216 points.
Toronto is 17-7 overall and 14-10 ATS after a 102-87 victory Sunday afternoon at the Kings, its sixth consecutive win. Los Angeles is 9-15 overall and 10-14 ATS following a 113-112 home win over the Wizards. The Raptors went 1-1 straight up and 2-0 ATS in two meetings last season. The over went 2-0.
In the win at Sacramento, DeMar DeRozan led the way with 25 points along with nine assists and three rebounds. Serge Ibaka tallied 20 points and four boards. Kyle Lowry added 15 points, 12 rebounds and six assists. Toronto led 54-46 at halftime and outscored the hosts in every quarter.
Lou Williams hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 1.2 seconds remaining to lift Los Angeles to the victory over Washington. He registered 35 points, eight assists and two rebounds off the bench. Danilo Galinari contributed 25 points, three rebounds and two assists. Austin Rivers added 16 points and seven assists. The Clippers led 62-49 at halftime before allowing the Wizards to creep back in.
Toronto is 11-5 ATS in its last 16 meetings in Los Angeles. The under is 11-3 in the last 14 meetings in Los Angeles.
The Raptors are getting the usual from DeRozan and Lowry, but their role players are also producing solid numbers to contribute. The back-to-back makes this is a tougher challenge, while the Clippers might also get point guard Milos Teodosic back from a foot injury tonight. Los Angeles might be coming off a dramatic victory and is getting a bit healthier now, but it is still a team missing a couple very important players. Take the Raptors to cover the spread here and extend their win streak to seven.
