Jazz fall at San Antonio
The Utah Jazz had a two-game win streak come to an end on Sunday in a 110-97 loss at San Antonio. The Jazz are 4-2 overall and against the spread in their last six. Utah is 13-14 overall, 9-8 on the road, 13-14 against the spread and 16-11 with the over.
The Jazz are holding opponents to just 107.3 points per game on defense despite allowing the opponents to shoot 47.3 percent from the field. Offensively, Utah is averaging 107 points per game while shooting 46.4 percent from the floor. Donovan Mitchell is leading the team with 20.9 points per game while Rudy Gobert is adding 14.9 points, 12.2 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per contest.
Thunder shocked by Bulls
The Oklahoma City had a four-game win streak come to an end in a surprising 114-112 loss at Chicago on Friday night. The Thunder are still 7-3 in their last 10. OKC is now 16-8 on the season, 9-3 at home, 14-10 against the spread and 13-11 with the under.
OKC is playing quite well on defense this season, as the Thunder are holding opponents to only 104.4 points per game, 44.4 percent shooting and 32.8 percent shooting from the arc. On offense, OKC is averaging 111.1 points per game despite shooting just 31.7 percent from 3-point land. Russell Westbrook is averaging a triple-double of 22.8 points, 10.6 rebounds and 10.2 assists per contest. Paul George is adding 24 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.4 assists per contest.
NBA Betting Trends
Utah
The Jazz are 2-7 against the spread in their last nine games playing on no rest and 1-4 ATS in their last five Monday games.
Oklahoma City
OKC is 7-2 against the spread in its last nine home games and 11-3 ATS in their last 14 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.
Prediction:
The Thunder are coming off a bad loss on Friday and should be eager to move on from that defeat. They return home after a brief road trip and face a Utah team that played last night and had a physical game with San Antonio. Oklahoma City has a lot of scoring ability and a lot of rebounding ability. The Jazz don’t have the same in either category. Unless the Jazz shoot the lights out, I don’t see how they can compete with OKC tonight.
