Raptors drop two straight

Toronto has suffered back-to-back losses at home against the Heat and the Rockets before hitting the road today. The Raptors are 15-6 on the season, 6-4 on the road, 13-8 against the spread and 12-9 with the over.

The Raptors are a solid offense, averaging 112.9 points per game while shooting 38.9 percent from the arc and 45.7 percent from the field. Defensively, Toronto is giving up 105.7 points per game while opponents shoot just 41.1 percent from the floor against them. Pascal Siakam is leading Toronto with 25 points, 8.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game. Kyle Lowry is adding 20.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 7.1 assists per contest.

Philly destroys Cleveland

The Philadelphia 76ers are coming off a 141-94 win at home over the Cavaliers last night. The 76ers have yet to drop a game at home this season. Philly is 16-7 on the year, 11-0 at home, 10-12-1 against the spread and 13-10 with the under.

Philadelphia is scoring 110.2 points per game on offense this season while shooting 47.7 percent from the floor and 36.4 percent from the arc. Defensively, the 76ers are giving up just 104 points per game while opponents shoot 45.5 percent against them. Joel Embiid is leading the 76ers with 22.6 points, 12.7 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game. Tobias Harris is adding 18.9 points and 7.0 rebounds per game.

NBA Betting Trends

The Raptors are 6-2 against the spread in their last 8 Sunday games and 6-2 ATS in their last eight following a loss.

The 76ers are 2-5 against the spread in their last seven as a favorite and 2-5 ATS in their last seven on no days of rest.

Toronto owns a 101-96 win at home over Philly already this year. The 76ers are coming off a game last night, which can be a concern, but it was a 141-94 rout of Cleveland. Philly really didn’t have to push itself to get that victory. Toronto has played pretty well this year, but have struggled in their last two games. They couldn’t deal with the Miami defense and they couldn’t outscore the Rockets. Philly has a little bit of each to deal with and will be at home, so I suspect that the Raptors will be in trouble again today. The 76ers have been great at home, and with a small spread, I like them to cover today.

NBA Prediction: Philadelphia 76ers -3.5
