Warriors seek third straight win
Golden State is playing its fifth straight road game, but is coming off back-to-back wins over the Hawks and the Cavs. They have also covered the spread in three of their last four. Golden State is now 17-9 overall, 4-5 on the road, 12-14 against the spread and 15-11 with the over.
The Warriors still have one of the best offenses in the NBA, averaging 116.8 points per game while leading the league in field goal percentage (49.7) and 3-point percentage (39.1). Defensively, Golden State is giving up 111.2 points per game. Draymond Green is listed as questionable for tonight’s game, but most reports have him returning from his toe injury next week. Stephen Curry is leading the team with 30.2 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game this season while Kevin Durant is adding 29.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 6.3 assists per contest.
Bucks can’t get on a hot streak
The Bucks have alternated wins and losses over their last seven games and are coming off a 115-92 win over the Pistons at home on Wednesday. They are just 1-5 against the spread in their last six games. Milwaukee is now 16-7 overall, 12-2 at home, 12-10-1 against the spread and 15-8 with the over.
Milwaukee comes into this game with the highest-scoring offense in the NBA, averaging 121.1 points per game. They shoot 48.7 percent from the field. Defensively, Milwaukee is allowing 110.4 points per game while limiting opponents to just 44 percent from the field. Giannis Antetokounmpo is averaging 27.0 points, 12.9 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game this season to lead the team. Khris Middleton is adding 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists per contest.
NBA Betting Trends
Golden State
The Warriors are 1-6 against the spread in their last seven road games against a team with a winning home record.
Milwaukee
The Bucks are 10-4-1 against the spread in their last 15 home games and 6-1 ATS in their last seven Friday games.
Prediction:
Milwaukee put a beating on Golden State in Golden State back on Nov. 8 and I think the Warriors are looking for revenge tonight. The Warriors are healing up and getting their swagger back on offense. Curry looks solid and Green may actually play tonight. The Warriors can hang on to grudges pretty well, so this game should be more than a normal game for them and I will side with the two-time defending champs in a revenge game, anytime.
NBA Prediction: Golden State Warriors +1.5
