Bulls vs. Pistons Prediction
Will the Chicago Bulls be able to bounce back when they face the Detroit Pistons tonight at 7:30PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Pistons are favored at home in this game, as they are getting odds of -6 points against the Bulls. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 199.5 points. The road team has won three straight in this series while the Pistons have covered in six of their last seven against the Bulls.
Detroit is coming off a 98-92 loss to Orlando at home last week to fall to 11-11 on the year. The Pistons are 11-11 against the spread. They have covered in their last five wins. The Pistons are now averaging 100.0 points per game on offense while giving up 97 points per game. Detroit got back Reggie Jackson on Sunday and he scored 18 points and had four assists in his first game of the year.
Chicago is coming off a 112-110 loss to the Blazers at home on Monday to fall to 11-9 on the season. The Bulls have lost and failed to cover in their last three games. Chicago is averaging 103.9 points per game on offense while the defense is giving up 100.2 points per contest. Rajon Rondo was suspended for last night’s game but is expected to return today. Chicago is still without Doug McDermott, who is dealing with a concussion. Jimmy Butler is the team’s leading scorer at 25.7 points per game. He also averages 6.7 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game.
The Pistons had a win streak snapped on Sunday in a surprising home loss. The team needs to gel with Jackson back in the mix. It may take some time and I don’t know that it will happen tonight against the Bulls. Chicago has some issues with Rondo, but I still think the Bulls have the fire power to stay with Detroit tonight and maybe even grab a win.
