Rockets hit the road
After a brief 3-game homestand where the Rockets went 2-1, Houston now hits the road where it has lost its last two. Houston comes into this game at 13-6 overall, 5-4 on the road, 10-9 against the spread and 11-8 with the under.

Defensively, Houston is allowing 114.5 points per game while allowing opponents to shoot 45.7 percent from the field. James Harden is torching opponents thus far, averaging 38.9 points, 5.9 rebounds and 7.8 assists per game. New addition, Russell Westbrook, is averaging 22.1 points, 7.6 rebounds and 6.9 assists per contest.
Spurs can’t get on track
San Antonio has had its struggles this year and the Spurs are coming off a 132-98 loss at Detroit last Sunday for an eighth loss in 10 games. The Spurs are now 7-14 on the season, 5-6 at home, 5-16 against the spread and 12-9 with the over.

Offensively, San Antonio is putting up 110.9 points per game while shooting 46.6 percent from the floor. LaMarcus Aldridge is listed as questionable for this game due to a thigh injury. He is averaging 18.9 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. DeMar DeRozan is leading the team with 21.6 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per contest.
NBA Betting Trends
Houston
The Rockets have covered the spread in eight straight when on two days of rest and in five of their last six games following a win.
San Antonio
The Spurs are just 1-5 against the spread in their last six home games and 1-6 ATS in their last seven conference games.
Prediction:
Houston has won its last three against the Spurs, going 2-0-1 against the spread. However, the two haven’t met this season. The Rockets have been tearing up bad defensive teams this year, putting up 158 on Atlanta on Saturday in their last game. The Rockets are rested and face a Spurs team that have given up at least 113 in three of their last four games. While San Antonio may see a burst in offense against this Houston defense, the Spurs won’t be able to keep up the scoring pace that the Rockets will put up, especially if Aldridge is unavailable.
NBA Prediction: Houston Rockets -5.5
