Durant pours in 49 in victory
After an up-and-down couple of weeks, Golden State (15-7) has found its footing lately and won its third consecutive game Monday night at home by a count of 116-110 over the Magic. Kevin Durant had a huge night with 49 points on 16-of-33 shooting plus a perfect 13-of-13 at the free throw line. He added nine rebounds, six assists, two steals and two blocked shots. Klay Thompson contributed 29 points and five rebounds, the only other Warriors player in double figures for points. Golden State outscored Orlando 69-46 in the second half.
Raptors win sixth straight
Toronto secured a 122-114 victory at Memphis Tuesday night to improve to 18-4 on the season. Kyle Lowry led the way by scoring 24 points on 8-of-14 shooting including 5-of-8 from behind the arc. He added six assists and two rebounds. Fred VanVleet had 18 points, three steals, three assists and two boards off the bench. Kawhi Leonard tallied 17 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and two steals. Serge Ibaka contributed 16 points, three caroms and two dimes. Danny Green had 14 points and four boards. Pascal Siakam added 10 points, six rebounds and four assists. The Raptors outscored the hosts 63-43 in the second half.
NBA Betting Trends
Golden State
The Warriors are 0-4 ATS in their last four Thursday games. Golden State is 0-4 ATS in its last four road games.
Toronto
The over is 4-0 in the last four Raptors games overall. Toronto is 4-1-1 ATS in the last six meetings.
Prediction:
Toronto is on a mission this season and is hot again after a rough stretch. While the Warriors have played better lately, sometimes it is hard to really trust them whenever Steph Curry is out. He’ll be out again Thursday before reportedly coming back to action for Thursday’s game. I’ll side with the Raptors here as they will be fired up for this one and have the home crowd behind them.
