Lakers ease past Spurs

Los Angeles manufactured a 114-104 victory Monday night at San Antonio to improve to 15-2 overall and 7-1 on the road. The Lakers outscored the Spurs 60-48 in the second half to overcome a slight halftime deficit. LeBron James paced LA with 33 points on 13-of-24 shooting including 4-of-7 from 3-point range plus 3-of-8 at the free throw line. He also contributed 14 assists and four rebounds. Anthony Davis racked up 19 points, 12 boards, six assists, two steals and two blocked shots. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had 14 points and two steals. Rajon Rondo accounted for 13 points, five caroms, three assists and two steals off the bench. Troy Daniels accumulated 11 points in 15 minutes as a reserve. Kyle Kuzma added 10 points, three rebounds and two assists off the bench.

Pelicans unable to hang at Clippers

New Orleans lost by a count of 134-109 Sunday night at Los Angeles to drop to 6-11 overall and 2-7 on the road. The Pelicans trailed 72-56 at halftime en route to the defeat. Brandon Ingram led New Orleans with 24 points on 9-of-22 shooting including 3-of-7 from 3-point distance plus 3-of-3 at the charity stripe. He also accounted for eight rebounds and five assists. Jrue Holiday contributed 18 points, seven boards and four assists. E'Twaun Moore had 17 points and three caroms off the bench. J.J. Redick tallied 12 points, four rebounds and two assists. Jahlil Okafor added 10 points, six boards and two assists.

NBA Betting Trends

Los Angeles

The Lakers are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games versus the Southwest Division. Los Angeles is 1-4 ATS in its last five games versus the Western Conference.

New Orleans

The Pelicans are 4-0 ATS in their last four home games. The home team is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings.

New Orleans has been strong at home lately and have definite revenge factors with Ingram, Lonzo Ball and Josh Hart. Look for the motivating factors to show up throughout this game while road fatigue could also set in a bit for LA. I like the Pelicans to keep this one close and for Ingram to show why he has become the go-to guy for his new franchise.
